Watch Behind the Rent Strike

This movie tells the touching tale of several different families living in an impoverished region of the United Kingdom. For the past several decades every time someone thinks of Liverpool, England, the first image conjured up is that of the Beatles. The film attempts to expose that aside from their musical heroes, there is a growing problem in the area, and it is about to explode in the form of a rent strike. Many families in Liverpool have been living in less than acceptable conditions, their children growing up in homes filled with uncertainty. Tensions arose to a boiling point in 1979 and this documentary films the events leading up to it.
