Watch I Am Omega

In the year 2012, a virus has swept through the world, transforming the majority of humanity into bloodthirsty, zombie-like creatures. The few remaining uninfected humans either live in remote areas or have banded together in small groups, in an attempt to survive the onslaught of the infected. Enter Renchard, played by Mark Dacascos, a lone survivor who lives in the ruins of Los Angeles. Renchard is immune to the virus, which allows him to roam freely among the infected without fear of infection. He spends his days scavenging for supplies, searching for other survivors, and killing the infected when necessary.

As the film begins, Renchard receives a distress signal from a group of survivors trapped in a nearby hospital. Renchard hesitates at first—he knows that going to their aid will put him in danger—but ultimately decides that he cannot ignore their plea for help.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Renchard discovers that the survivors are under attack from not just the infected, but a rogue military unit as well. Renchard quickly comes to the aid of the survivors, fighting off the infected and soldiers alike. In the process, he meets a young girl named Brianna, who is seeking her mother—who is also among the survivors in the hospital.

As Renchard and the other survivors work to stave off the infected and survive the military's onslaught, they realize that they will need to make a desperate escape if they hope to survive. With limited options, Renchard comes up with a plan to flee the city by boat, and sets out to find the necessary supplies and equipment to make their escape.

Throughout the film, Renchard battles not just the infected and the military, but his own sense of isolation and despair. He is haunted by visions of his wife and child, who were killed by the virus years earlier, and struggles to connect with the other survivors around him. Yet despite his inner turmoil, Renchard remains determined to survive and protect those he has come to care for, no matter the cost.

I Am Omega is a tense, action-packed thriller that captures the horror and desperation of a world overrun by the undead. Mark Dacascos delivers a compelling performance as the tortured hero Renchard, and the film's gritty, post-apocalyptic setting adds to the sense of danger and urgency. Though the film may be too intense for some viewers, it is a must-see for fans of zombie and survival films alike.
