Watch Little Big Soldier

In “Little Big Soldier” (2010), Jackie Chan plays a lowly foot soldier, Liang, who has survived a brutal battle between the Wei and Liang armies. Liang’s army is annihilated, but he manages to play dead and hide behind a tree. Meanwhile, the Wei army is celebrating their victory by executing any remaining Liang soldiers they find. When a Wei general, played by Sung-jun Yoo, stumbles upon Liang, he captures him and decides to take him back to the Wei kingdom as a prize of war.

As they journey back, Liang does everything in his power to convince the general to let him go. At first, the general is skeptical but eventually he agrees to let Liang go if he can bring back another prisoner. Seeing this as his one chance to escape, Liang sets out to find a prisoner to swap for his freedom.

Liang comes across a small village that has been attacked and razed by the Wei army. Among the rubble, he finds a young soldier, played by Leehom Wang, who is badly injured and left for dead. Liang takes pity on the young man and decides to bring him back to the Wei kingdom instead, hoping to use him as his bargaining chip.

The rest of the movie follows the unlikely duo’s journey back to the Wei kingdom, where they face many challenges and obstacles. Along the way, they encounter various other characters who try to help or hinder their mission.

One of the most notable things about “Little Big Soldier” is that it is a departure from Jackie Chan’s usual action-packed or comical roles. Instead, he plays a more subdued and humble character, showcasing his dramatic acting abilities. The movie also features stunning cinematography and beautiful scenery, as much of it was shot on location in China.

Despite being a relatively low-budget movie with a simple plot, “Little Big Soldier” manages to tell a captivating story and touch on deeper themes such as loyalty, trust, and the futility of war.
