This is the story of an 11 year old boy named Cyril who becomes a ward of the state. A hairdresser named Samantha agrees to mentor Cyril on the weekends. Cyril however wants to find his father and confront him about leaving and taking off with a bicycle that belonged to him. Meanwhile Cyril spends the weekends with Samantha at her home, but falls into trouble with a local gang. He has to decide, if he wants to continue to get into trouble and lead the life of a delinquent, or try to be grateful for Samantha and the help she is offering.
