The Prisoner of Zenda is a 1979 comedy; it is a remake of the 1952 Prisoner of Zenda. Richard Quine directed the 1979 movie. It stars Peter Sellers along with a large cast that includes Elke Sommer. The movie is based on the 1894 novel by Anthony Hope. The original story is about a man who is forced to impersonate a king that he resembles after the real kind is abducted by his enemies. The story closely resembles The Man in the Iron Mask. In this version of the story King Rudolf dies in a balloon accident. Peter Sellars is the King’s son who lives in London.
