Watch Z

Inspired by the events surrounding the death of Greek pacifist leader Grigoris Lambrakis, Z is the story of an investigator who stumbles upon the center of an anti-government organization. Hardcore traditional powers are battling a Leftist uprising when the death of an important central dignitary occurs. Agent Z is recruited to prosecute the case and maintain civility throughout the populace.

Z (Yves Montand), Helene (Irene Papas) and a host of period characters endeavor to quell a population uprising, satisfy the demands of the ruling party and get to bottom of a horrendous and untimely death. The investigation uncovers evidence related to plans of governmental pacification plans and opposition force take-over of the regions food supply.
