The Murders is a crime drama television series from the Canadian television network Citytv. Created by Damon Vignale, the show premiered on March 25, 2019, and quickly gained a following. Set in Vancouver, the series follows detective Kate Jameson (Jessica Lucas) as she investigates a series of murders with the help of her partner, Detective Nolan Wells (Dylan Bruce), and her friend and colleague, Medical Examiner Dr. Betty Rogers (Terry Chen). Jameson is a gifted detective with a troubled past. She lost her husband, a fellow police officer, in the line of duty and is raising her young son on her own. The murders she is investigating become increasingly personal, and she has to balance her work with her personal life to solve the case.
