The Quon Dynasty is a Canadian reality series that first aired on Citytv in 2011. The show centers around the Chinese-Canadian Quon family, owners of Lingnan, one of Edmonton's most successful Chinese restaurants. The show follows the family as they navigate their daily lives while running a restaurant, raising a family and balancing their cultural identity. The series stars Steve Tsang, Norton Mah, and Marty Quon.

The Quon Dynasty is an entertaining show that delves into the complexities of the Quon family's business and personal lives. The family dynamics are explored through the series with the patriarch and head chef of the restaurant, Marty Quon. He is a well-known figure in the Edmonton Chinese community and has spent most of his life working in the restaurant industry. We also see Steve Tsang, a cousin to the Quons who works as the manager of the restaurant, and Norton Mah who is married to one of the Quon sisters and frequently helps out at the restaurant.

Throughout the series, we see the family deal with the challenges that come with running a restaurant. From sourcing ingredients to putting out fires in the kitchen, the Quons face everything that comes their way. The restaurant is a hub of activity, with customers coming in and out and the family working together to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

One of the things that makes The Quon Dynasty so entertaining is the family's comedic banter. With Marty Quon's joking and teasing of his family and Steve's sarcastic humor, the show has plenty of moments that will make you laugh out loud.

In addition to showcasing the family's business, the show also explores their cultural identity. Despite being fourth-generation Canadian, the Quons still hold on to their Chinese heritage. We see this through the restaurant's menu, which features traditional Chinese dishes that have been ed down through the family for generations. The Quons also frequently attend Chinese festivals and events, giving viewers a glimpse into Edmonton's Chinese community.

Overall, The Quon Dynasty is a fun, lighthearted show that offers a unique look into the lives of a Chinese-Canadian family running a successful restaurant. With its mix of family drama, business challenges and cultural exploration, this show is sure to provide plenty of entertainment for viewers.
